Description

This plumbing related instruction (RTI) is in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), Office of Apprenticeship. The course presents technical instruction for the trade and is intended to complement on-the-job learning. If a student is not working in the occupation, they are still eligible to enroll in the course. The school will provide job leads when available, but it is the student's responsibility to have an employer to sponsor and register them as an apprentice with the USDOL Office of Apprenticeship. Plumbing is four-year apprenticeship and an apprentice must complete: • 8,000 Hours (4 years) Structured On-the-Job Learning • 576 Hours (144 hours minimum per year) Related Technical Instruction Instruction consists of safety, practical math, algebra, plumbing fundamentals & water supply systems, estimating, plumbing fixtures, isometric drawings, drains & waste, business law, and code. This is a hybrid course with some sessions in-person on-site and some online assignments. Students are required to have internet access to participate and/or complete online assignments.
